Welcome to the European Sialendoscopy Training Center

ESTC aims to train physicians for sialendoscopy, and to build up a network of specialists around the world.

The ESTC is a non-profit organisation based in Geneva, which aims to teach and promote sialendoscopy as a minimally-invasive surgical method and standard-of-care in the treatment of inflammatory salivary gland disorders. What is sialendoscopy? Since 2001, the ESTC has built an important network of specialists by training more than 800 physicians around the world and by receiving many fellows for post-doctoral studies. As of today, more than 500 centers from all continents treat patients who have a variety of inflammatory salivary gland disorders such as sialadenitis, stones, stenosis, Sjogren's syndrome, sialadenitis induced by radio-active iodine, juvenile recurrent parotitis and adult recurrent parotitis. How it all started?

Second International Salivary Gland Ultrasound Course

Head and neck ultrasound is becoming more and more popular in several countries, as it helps considerably the clinician for the diagnosis. It has been introduced in Switzerland in 1995, and has become in 2013 a mandatory part of the training in ENT.

After the success of the first Ultrasound hands-on course performed during the last Sialendoscopy courses, we have decided to launch a complete Salivary gland ultrasound course, that will last two full days, including both theoretical and practical knowledge. Participants will have the oportunity to train on real patients and learn all the techniques linked with ultrasound (Fine needle aspiration, Botox injection).

The course is open to all specialties dealing with salivary glands, wishing to acquire this specific training.
